I grew up in the kitchen. My childhood memories are full of flavour, colour, spices, laughter and always food.
My family created Patak’s, the iconic Indian cuisine brand, to share the recipes we loved with the world.
Spices will always be my first love, but I’ve always been fascinated by cultures and food from around the world. So I travelled and immersively learnt cooking techniques from places far and wide.
I qualified from Leiths School of Food and Wine in London, studied advanced wine through the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) and completed a diploma in nutrition. From there, I set out to bring fun and flair to food for people everywhere through writing and teaching.
Ingredients can magically transport you to places you never imagined, letting you journey the world from your dining table. Flavour Diaries helped me bring this to life as an International cookery school in Mumbai, and now it travels with me through cookery masterclasses and dining experiences in cities around the world.

I’ve been a cookery teacher for over 15 years, teaching skills, techniques and recipes to all skill levels from chefs to novices.
