The next generation
When I got involved with cooking I must have been around 3 years old. Imagine having a toddler running around in the kitchen, throw in the worry of having knives and hot pans around, and you have a kitchen nightmare! Or do you?!
Ladurée – a day in heaven
Ladurée is one of the world’s best known luxury cake shops who have carved their name into the patisserie world because of their mouth watering macaroons. Established in Paris in 1862, it has reached worldwide acclaim and can be found across the globe, including Saudi Arabia, Sydney, Japan, and most recently opened its doors in Hong Kong at the end of last year.
Masterclass with a difference
I regularly run masterclasses to immerse people into the wonder of spices and the fantastic flavours they have to offer. Last week I ran one at a very special venue that made the food taste even more incredible.
Thank you – Curry for Change Masterclass
Thanks to everyone who got involved back in June last year and took part in Curry for Change to raise vital funds for the wonderful charity Find Your Feet.
Duck & Waffle
Since Duck and Waffle opened last Summer it has been the talk of many foodies and bloggers, not just because the name is intriguingly strange, but because it is open 24/7. Yes that’s right! Open 24 hours a day…How can that be?!
Foodie Xmas
It’s that time of year when the nights have turned chilly and everyone is out braving the crowds trying to buy all their Christmas presents before the big day. As much as I love the magical feeling that fills the air around this time, I would much rather be at home all snug and warm. Instead of buying gifts I prefer to make and bake mine, which I feel is much more personal. A little bit of me for those I love.
Provence
Last week I spent my days soaking up some sun in the beautiful region of Provence in the South of France known for some incredible wines. I fancied reconnecting with my wine knowledge and picked out a few vineyards I wanted to learn more about. I packed my bags, a few paracetemols for those inevitable drinking headaches, and off I went to Marseille.
Get Jamming!
I’ve always wanted to make my own jams, preserves, relishes, chutneys and pickles. But I’ve always thought they were quite difficult and time consuming to make. After looking into it more and learning about the do’s and don’ts I’ve actually realised it really isn’t!

Ultimate Dinner Party Feast
National Curry Week has just finished and I spent my week doing the glamourous part of my day job – interviews! I talked curry, spices, recipes and charity. All of this made me feel compelled to host a dinner party and I created one of the tastiest menus I’ve ever come up with, and so I wanted to share it with you.
