6 months into my Flavour Diary….

6 months into my Flavour Diary….

I can’t quite believe Flavour Diaries has been open for 6 months…Time has flown by! Since the day I conceptualised it, I couldn’t be happier with the way it’s turned out and how much Mumbai has embraced this new idea.

Since the day I opened back in November I’ve been trying out all sorts of foodie ideas and after 6 months I think I’m slowly starting to understand what I want for Flavour Diaries. As well as cookery classes, which I truly love, we’ve been hosting many chefs table experiences and this has fast become one of my most creative avenues. My chefs and I plan each menu for every single client and we get to exercise our creative spirit, combining everything we love about the industry in one place. I have a fabulous team that also believe in the vision of Flavour Diaries and all I hope for it, and for this I’ll always feel grateful for seeking out this hidden talent.

It’s not been smooth sailing….far from it. Owning your own space here in Mumbai brings many challenges, and its taught me to be strong and persevere with the bureaucracy and madness. I often look back to those early days when I didn’t sleep and could never find hours in the day to stop and look at what I’d built, but recently I feel I’ve had that time and I feel so proud of being the first to bring social dining back on the menu. Foodie fun is at the heart of everything I do and I’m looking forward to seeing how the next 6 months unfold. The monsoons rains are in full swing and so are we…come visit soon…
